Aim: To evacuate the surface area change in ice cube after melting.Materials needed: A glass cup,an ice cube,some water.Steps:1.Put the ice cube into the glass cup, fill the cup full with water and let the ice cube float on water surface.2.Wait for a few minutes until the ice cube had melted.3.Observed whether there's a decrease in the water volume of cup.Result: Water volume had decreased instead of overflowing out of the cup. The surface area of the ice cube had become smaller.
