物流管理（英文）：Logistics Management Logistics 英语字面意义是“后勤”。在二战后应用于企业管理，其初期的研究和传播附属于“物流”（Physical Distribution）以下的一个词。 “物流”或“物的流通”（Physical Distribution）一词，根据日本工业规格它是：“指将物质由供应者向需要者作物理性移动的过程，一般由运输、保管、搬运、包装以及与之相伴随的信息传递等活动构成。” 20世纪50年代中期从“Logistics”一词由美国传入日本后，也被直译成“物的流通”，不再被译为“后勤”。现在所讲的“物流”就是指“Logistics”，它的内涵比原来所指的“Physical Distribution”一词要广。 我国1997年，在《物流术语国家标准（征求意见稿）》中将“物流”定义为“以最小的总费用，按用户要求，将物质资料（注：包括原材料、在制品、产成品等）从供给地向需要地转移的过程。主要包括运输、储存、包装、装卸、配送、流通加工、信息处理等活动”。 美国物流管理协会（Council of Logistics Management，CLM）1962年对物流的定义是：“所谓物流，即以最高效率和最大成本效益，满足顾客需要为目的，从商品的生产地点到消费地点，对包括原材料、在制品、最终成品及其相关信息的流动与贮存，进行设计、实施和控制的过程。” CLM将物流管理定义为：“... the process of planning, implementing and controlling the efficient, effective flow and storage of goods, services and related information from the point of origin to the point of consumption for the purpose of conforming to customer requirements.” 另一个权威的物流管理的定义是：“the design and operation of the physical, managerial, and informational systems needed to al1ow goods to overcome time and space
