中央电视台“希望之星”英语风采大赛（大赛）是在2000年由由中央电视台创办的，赵音奇主持，面向全国观众的大型电视英语比赛，大赛本着“培养兴趣、增强信心、展示风采、树立榜样”的原则，为所有爱好英语的电视观众提供了一个锻炼自我、认识自我、展示自我、捕捉机遇的舞台。
比赛形式：
比赛分为：幼儿组（4-6岁）、小学低年级（1－3年级）、小学高年级（4－6年级）、初中、高中、大学成人六个组别。各地分赛区选拔赛采取初、复、决赛制。
全国总决赛预选赛采取评委现场评审方式进行。全国总决赛采取演播室实况录像，评委现场评审和晚会形式进行，以考查选手英语综合运用能力为宗旨，通过即兴演讲、听力测试、原版电影配音、情景剧表演、现场辩论、知识题问答等多角度的考察，最后决出胜负。
此节目已成为全国颇具影响力的电视赛事。
