The Mid-Autumn Festival
The Mid-Autumn Festival is a very important festival in China, in August 15th. A few days before the festival, everyone in the family will help to make the house clean, decorate the house well, hang lanterns in the house.
There are evening meal, people who work outside the home have to e back for the union. After dinner, people will light the lanterns, are usually red and round. Children will play with their toy lanterns happily.
At night the moon is round and big, people can enjoy the moon while eating moon cake mid-autumn festival special food. People with the past, look to the future. It is said that there is a dragon in the sky, it is necessary to swallow the moon. In order to protect the moon, the children want to frighten the Dragon away.
