强迫英语oblige

PUSH一般翻做“催，逼”don't push me, 别催我，或者别逼我oblige 做事的人觉得自己有义务去做某事 coerce 主要用武力威胁让别人去做某事 compel 也是威胁强迫让人去做事 但是没有coerce语气和表达意思强硬，不一定用武力强迫 force 用权威和武力，主要指有威信的人或机构强迫别人做事

compell作及物动词讲，表示，“迫使”，指运用权力、力量迫使对方采取某种行动，尤其在被动语态中含“别无他法”之意，compell的意义比oblige弱。例如： I compelled him to give up the plan.我强迫他放弃此计划。 He was compelled by illness to suspend his experiment.他因病不得不暂停试验。 Oblige表示“强制”、“不得不”，指客观情况使人不得不干，必要较强，语气较弱。例如： I was obliged to give up the plan.我不得不放弃那计划 Ill health obliged him to retire early.健康情况不佳使他不得不提前退休。

一、含义不同。

二、迫使关系不同。

oblige 指因法律、义务、形势等关系而不得不做某事，通常用被动语态。compel指运用权力，力量迫使别无选择。

1、This decree obliges unions to delay strikes.

该法令迫使工会推迟罢工。

2、Local housing authorities have been compelled by the housing crisis to make offers of sub-standard accommodation.

住房危机迫使当地的几个房管部门提供不够标准的住房。

三、语气不同。

oblige语气较弱，强调所迫使的行为是有必要的。compel语气更重。

1、I felt morally compelled to help.

我觉得从道义上我必须帮忙。

2、Mr Oakley always has been ready to oblige journalists with information.

奥克利先生总是乐于向记者透露消息。
