“希望做某事”英语为“hope to do sth”或者“wish to do sth”。
hope强调主观上的希望，wish表示客观上不太可能实现的希望或祝愿。hope后不能直接跟名词作宾语，可用for +名词，表示可实现的“希望”，wish也可跟for +名词，但表示难实现的“愿望”。
hope的用法举例：
1、I hope to have a beautiful wife.
我希望有一个美丽的妻子。
2、I hope to see you and your sister soon.
我希望不久能见到你和你的姐姐。
3、Ihopetowatchthebasketballmatchagain.
我希望再看一次那场篮球赛。
4、I was hoping sb could help me at that time.
我那时一直期望有人能帮助我。
