1、跨越式跳高
具体技术表现为：助跑方向与横杆成一定角度，用远离横杆的腿踏跳，起跳点距离横杆垂直面60-80厘米。当人体腾空后，上体前倾，摆动腿摆过横杆后，向杆下内转下压，使臀部迅速移过横杆，两臂下垂。过杆时，躯干向横杆方向侧倒并向起跳腿方向扭转，两臂举起。同时起跳腿迅速向上高抬，完成跨越过杆动作。过杆后，身体侧对横杆，用摆动腿先落地。
2、剪式跳高
具体技术表现为：助跑方向与横杆垂直，或稍偏向摆动腿一侧。踏跳腾空至身体最高点时，摆动腿膝部过杆并向内转，身体随之向起跳腿方向扭转，并沿垂直轴旋转。摆动腿过杆后，加大内转动作，大腿下压，上体加大转体动作，并向助跑方向倾斜，身体沿垂直轴和前后轴旋转成水平姿势，臀部抬高；起跳腿由外侧越过横杆，膝关节伸直，头部向助跑方向倾倒。
在起跳腿成弧形过杆后，继续下落，下压的摆动腿向上振起，两腿成剪绞动作，同时上体和头部越过横杆，两臂向上抬举，最后用起跳腿落地。
3、俯卧式跳高
具体技术表现为：身体各部位在空中以俯卧姿势依次越过横杆，侧面助跑，用靠近横杆的腿起跳。腾空后，摆动腿小腿越过横杆，摆动腿和同侧臂沿着横杆平行方向前伸内旋，肩向内扣，转体成俯卧杆上姿势，随即起跳腿屈膝上收，两臂靠近躯干，头和摆动腿一侧肩下潜，髋部迅速扭转，起跳腿翻转，使身体尽快越过横杆。过杆后，以摆动腿和两臂落垫。
