Hello everyone, today I would like to talk about personality differences between Chinese and Westerners. Westerners like advanctures, excitements, and are self centered; on the other hand, Chinese are more family-oriented and close-minded. As you all've known, Chinese's thinking is greatly influenced by Confucianism. Some Westerners say it's not good that Chinese think this way, because we (我觉得we好些，因为咱们是中国人在演讲，不应该说they)are too conservative. Moreover, some Chinese dislike the Westerner's way of thinking, because they are too open-minded. And yet, I think either way is good. While you are in Western counties, you shouldn't be too conservative, and when you're in China, don't be too open-minded. For instance, our class monitor, he was back from Europe, and was very open-minded. After class, he always wanted to talk about salacity. Maybe this kind of behavior was nothing in Western county. But since he was in China, this became was very unacceptable. Others may think he would have character issues. In conclusion, I would like to say, while in Rome, do as Romans do.
