其实你的理解已经很好了，但是在翻译过程却不由自主地陷入一个误区，也就是忘记了不同的语言由于各种原因，形成的词汇很少有一对一的对等词。我们在初学英语是可以用相应汉语去作过度记忆，一旦到了使用阶段，原来的汉语等同词汇就会显得黯然失色，这时我们就得从原文词典中寻找它们的准确解释了。只要一个人走出这种误区，它必然会脱离必然王国而走进自由王国。首先就提出的几个词查阅英文解释如下（汉语解释只充当一下临时拐棍）：Unsettled： Likely to change or vary 有变化趋势的; Not determined or resolved； 未确定的Not fixed or established: 不确定的Weak：Lacking the ability to function normally or fully 缺乏正常或充分起作用的能力的。Lacking potency or intensity 缺乏能力或剧烈度的。bare：Just sufficient 刚刚够的，还能满足的exposed to view 看得见的，不掩饰的steady：free or almost free from change, variation 摆脱外界变化影响的free or almost free fluctuation 摆脱波动的uniform始终如一的fully ：Totally or completely全部的，不带参杂的firm Resistant to externally applied pressure 对外界压力具有抵御能力的其中Unsettled和Weak 、steady和firm可以算近义词。首先每对中的前者都比后者程度浅，也可以说后者包括前者，也就是你说得不稳定和走弱、稳定和坚挺。另外，unsettled和steady 、Weak和firm又互成反义词，即，不稳定和稳定、走弱和坚挺。其次，为了多增加层次，就会用bare和fully去进一步修饰这四个词，另外再形成八个进深的语汇，于是就出现了bare unsettled (明显的不稳定) bare steady（明显的稳定）等组对和fully weak(不可回避的走弱)、fully firm(不可动摇的坚挺)等组对。再次，靠近词语还可以通过用介词to连接去说明发展趋势得递进，那么就有了fully steady to firm或者 weak to bare steady，那么是否也可以说unsettled to weak, weak to bare steady等呢，答案是肯定的。总之，阅读英语是一定要脱离一对一翻译的误区。不知道我这样的解释是否对路，仅供参考吧。
