1、补语的定义:补语用来说明宾语或主语所处的状态或正在进行的动作。
2、用法:
(1)主语的补语:
例如:它用在系动词后,是句子的一个基本成分。常用主-系-表结构。
例句:I saw her with them, at least, I thought it was her.
我看到她和他们在一起,至少我认为是她。
(2)宾语的补语
例如:不定式(to do)
例句:Father will not allow us to play on the street. 父亲不让我们在街上玩耍。
1、补语的形式:名词、动名词、形容词、副词、不定式、现在分词、过去分词都可以在句子中作宾补。
2、补语用法补充:
(1)名词做补语
例句:At the meeting we elected him monitor.
I think your brother a clever boy.
(2)形容词做补语
例句:What you said ade Xiao Wang angry.
I found the classroom empty.
3、补语的拓展:
(1)主语补足语与宾语补足语的联系
主动语态中的宾语补足语,可以转化为被动语态中的主语补足语。
例句: They caught the boy stealing. (stealing 作为宾语补足语)
转化为被动语态 The boy was caught stealing. (stealing转化为主语补足语)
