In France, the Bourbon Dynasty, overthrown by the bourgeois revolutionary regime, was restored in 1815 with the support of foreign feudal forces.

Until 1830, the July Revolution broke out in France, ending the feudal rule of Bourbon's Restoration Dynasty.

Under the reign of the Restoration Dynasty, the French courts and churches acted in adultery and oppressed the people.

In Paris at that time, the religious forces were evil and dark, the feudal system was very cruel, and the human nature was distorted and degenerated under the oppression of feudalism.

All sectors of society, especially the lower class, are in a deeply sympathetic situation. The oppressed people rose up and fought bravely with the two forces to win the final victory.

Hugo felt the darkness and cruelty of feudal rule and created Notre Dame de Paris, reflecting real life through the Paris society in the 15th century.

The title of Notre Dame de Paris refers to Notre Dame de Paris, where the story takes place. In 1829, Victor Hugo began to create Notre Dame de Paris in order to let people know the value of this Gothic architecture.

Notre Dame de Paris was published by Victoria Hugo in 1831 and is one of his many historical novels, set in fifteenth century Paris. The archdeacon of Notre Dame, a certain Claude Frollo, falls in lust with Esmerelda - a gypsy dancer - who is much admired by the crowds of the city. At his instruction, Quasimodo, the grotesque hunchbacked bell-ringer of Notre Dame who he has befriended, kidnaps her. Her rescue is brought about by Phoebus de Chateaupers (Captain of the Royal Archers) and she falls mistakenly in love with his bravery when he is in reality something of a rogue and a braggart. Frollo follows Esmerelda to a meeting with Phoebus who he satbs before her leaving her to be sentenced to death for the murder. Quasimodo has become her effective slave due to a single act of kindness and takes her to sanctuary in the cathedral. Adventures follow including a band of gypsies attempt to save Esmerelda from the cathedral, the disguised Frollo’s persuasion of the girl to leave with him and the brief return of Esmerelda to her mother. The sad finale involves the Archers’ fierce arrest of Esmerelda, her hanging and Quasimodo’s wretched misery at the loss of the girl. There is some retribution for Frollo however, and the story, though not always following history very closely, presents a vivid picture of medieval Paris.

Until this stage, the workers began to dismantle the old church (in ancient times, the old church and the new church will not be built early to remove the church to continue the daily religious operation). In the construction plan of Notre Dame, the new building was moved eastward than the original building in order to free up a square that could serve as a parade in front of the church. In order to achieve this, the Bishop of the Pleiades will be an isolated island in the east of the island of Xidai Island and the island connected to the way to fill the building can be used to build the church. In addition, he built a lot of houses, so that we can lay a new street "Rue Neuve Notre-Dame" (Rue Neuve Notre-Dame), this six-meter-wide street is the largest medieval street in Paris The As for the bishop mansion and the church attached to the hospital (the main palace hospital), because the island is not enough land, forced to migrate to the south bank of the Seine.
