My Dream For the Beijing Olympics. Six years ago,Mr. Samaranch annouced that the beijing had won the bid for the 29th olympic games.Then my only dream was to learn english well to enjoy watching the great Beijing Olympic events. Nowadays, children are too lazy to do housework at home unless they are given pocket money. Just as the girl in the picture above, when her parents ask her to do household chores, she says, “Pay me, or I’ll never do that!”
Simple as the picture is, the meaning it conveys is profound and thought-provoking. With many children being spoiled too much, their independence is gradually taken away, which in fact does great harm to their growth. Thus, it is necessary for children to realize the value of labor. For one thing, by doing housework, children will understand how hard it is for their parents to support the family, which in turn will urge them to make even greater efforts in their study. For another, doing housework contributes to cultivating children’s sense of responsibility, and also helps them harvest the joy of labor. Last but not least, doing housework can develop the ability to stand on their own feet, which will benefit them in the whole life.

Public Environmental Consciousness
As can be seen from the pie chart, the public have various responses towards the sign “Keep Off the Lawn”. Most of the public, about 81.9%, strictly follow the sign. They always make a detour simply to avoid stepping on the grass. Then 11% of the public may fall into line with those who step on the lawn. And 4.5% of the public say they never step on the lawn in public. About 2.6% of the public adhere to the view that the lawn is designed to be stepped on.
Considering the information in the chart, we might conclude that it is necessary to enhance the public’s awareness of environmental protection. For one thing, the government should legislate to promote the process of protection. For another, we individuals should realize the severe situation of environmental damage and the urgency of environmental protection. We should always bear in mind that we have only one earth and it is our inescapable obligation to protect the environment.
