Hi, David,It is very nice to receive your mail. I am glad to hear that you are doing well.I am having a rather interesting and full program for summer vacation. As you know I am quite a soccor fan. The World Cup was televised in real time here in China. My peers who share the same hobby came everyday to watch the game together. The games were good and we did not miss a single match. We really hoped that one day our national team would make it the finals. But I guess they are rather hopeless at the moment and it could be quite a while before our hope comes to reality. I am taking some tutorial. My parents wish that I become top of class next semester. I know this is more a wishful thinking than reality. But some tutorial doesn't hurt. Besides, the tutor has been very knowledgeble and friendly. I worked half time for two weeks recently in a restaurant, trying to make some Yuan for pocket money. The job is simple, to wash hundreds of dishes each day. I did get bored after two weeks of repetition of the same action. Besides all those, I did something really nice and meaningful. Togtether with a few peers, I did community service in a nursing home. There we helped elderly people to take walk around in the garden and read to them the news while they enjoy the sunshine. I could tell that they were very thankful ad happy even for such littles things we did for them. We felt very warm in heart because we knew that we made them happy.Time really flies.
