王亚平在担任飞行员期间，认识了现在的爱人赵鹏，两个人都为自己的飞行事业所努力，志同道合，所以在2006年举办婚礼结为夫妇。2016年王亚平生下一位可爱的女儿，今年她的女儿已经五岁了，因为两个人即将要分离六个多月，内心非常不舍，王亚平出发之前和女儿达成协议，会在太空摘星星回来，但是女儿在家里要乖乖的，还要照顾好爷爷奶奶。远离至亲，无怨无悔登上太空，王亚平不仅是优秀的宇航员，还是一位伟大的母亲。
