在英语中上面括弧中的and一般不能省略;而在美国英语中却往往省去。请分析下面的对话：

1、日期

一般情况下，序数词是在基数词后加－th，但有几种特殊情况：1、2、3单独记（即first, second,third），8少t，9缺e（即：eighth, ninth），5、12变ve为fth（即fifth,twelfth），整十位变y为ie再加th（如twentieth），二位以上只将个数变为序数词（如twenty-fifth）。
2、时间
时间的读法有下列几种情形：
1、直接读数字。
例如：18:15读作 eighteen fifteen；5:20读作five twenty。
2、前半小时，读作几点“过”（past）几分。
例如：7：15读作 fifteen past seven；12：05读作five past twelve。
3、后半小时，通常说下一个整点“差”（to）几分。
例如：14：35读作twenty-five to fifteen；6：50读作ten to seven。
4、15分钟读作“一刻钟”（a quarter）。
温度
表示温度有华氏(Fahrenheit)和摄氏(Centigrade)两种。英美均使用华氏作为温度的计量单位。摄氏用法现已日渐普及。
例如：15℃读作：fifteen degrees Centigrade(或Celsius)；32℉读作：thirty-two degrees Fahrenheit；0℃读作：nought degrees Centigrade；－5C读作：five degrees below zero；－30℃读作：minus 30 degrees celsius。
