as a highly profitable industry, tourism needs to develop new items of interest. my suggestion is landscape plus chinese calligraphy. i think its quite potential for two reasons. the first is that chinese calligraphy is an art which is so naturally and nicely incorporated with chinas abundant resources of landscape. the second reason is that chinese calligraphy has such fascination for foreign tourists especially westerners. imagine a scenery spot displaying artists masterpieces of chinese calligraphy! such blend can nowhere be enjoyed outside of china.

I am so excited now, because I will go travel with friends. We plan to go to visit Guangzhou, for it is very near our place. This is the first time for us to go travel together, we want to make sure everything goes on well and save more time to play, so we make some arrangements. The first thing is about searching the route. Going to the strange place, we will have no idea about the road, so we need to figure out the main roads, in case that we will be lost. Second, we also search the famous sites. Guangzhou is such a big place, we can’t go to every concern in the short time, but we can visit the hot sites and get to know something about this place. I believe that this trip will be fun, because we are so free and can enjoy the new scenery.

A succession of beautiful scenery makes one feel delighted. A long stay in the same surroundings to make everything the same. Routine work often makes one feel bored But if you take a trip or a long journey on your holidays to some scenic spots or historic sites, that will make great difference.

Travel can widen one's knowledge. The farther you go, the more you will learn about different politics, economics, customs as well as geography. If you travel the whole world some day, you will fully understand the globe on which we live.

However, too much travel causes tiredness. You get on a bus or a taxi, you travel on the train or in a plane, being patient with the hours needed on your mute from one place to another, that will make you exhausted after a while.

Last summer, Mom and Dad took me to Dongshan and Xiamen to play, so I spent an unforgettable summer vacation.

We first ride to the Dongshan, we see the vast boundless sea and beautiful seaside scenery. The most interesting is the famous attractions of Dongshan - wind stone. Legend has a wind blowing, the top of the stone in another stone will shake, but usually several people can not push it. My father and mother also curious to try to push a bit, really motionless, really amazing!

Afternoon, my father and mother came to the beach. We are on the beach to fight the fortress, playing the water at the beach, watching the blue sea and the vast sky, I can not help but think of a poet wrote by the ancient poet: "the sea of the moon, the horizon at this time."

Tour finished Zhangzhou Dongshan, the next day we transfer to Xiamen. A tall, high-rise building is surprisingly clean and spacious. Afternoon, Mom and Dad took me to the fun of the playground - water park. There are a variety of fun to stimulate the entertainment, such as carousel, UFO, Ferris wheel, pirate ship and so on. We played for a long time, until the fun and go.

Finally, I reluctantly left Xiamen, the end of the happy trip to Dongshan Xiamen. This summer is really memorable!

去年暑假，爸爸妈妈带我去东山和厦门游玩，让我度过了一个难忘的暑假。

我们先坐车来到东山，我们看到了广阔无边的大海和美丽的海边风光。最有趣的还是东山有名的`景点——风动石。传说有大风吹来时，这块顶在另外一块巨石上的石头就会摇动，但是平时好几个人也无法推动它。我和爸爸妈妈也好奇地试推了一下，果然一动不动，真是太神奇了!

下午，我和爸爸妈妈来到了海边。我们在沙滩上堆堡垒，在海边打水仗，看着这碧蓝的大海和广阔的天空，我不禁想起了一位古代诗人写的诗句：“海上生明月，天涯共此时”。

游完了漳州东山，第二天我们转车到了厦门。一座座高大气派的高楼大厦让人惊讶，干净宽阔的街道让人心情舒畅。下午，爸爸妈妈带我来到好玩的游乐场——水上乐园。这里有各种各样好玩刺激的娱乐项目，比如旋转木马、飞碟车、摩天轮、海盗船等。我们玩了很久，直到尽兴而归。

最后，我恋恋不舍地离开了厦门，结束了快乐的东山厦门之旅。这个暑假真让人难忘!

There are varied ways of defining tourism. Some people regard it as a pollution-free industry; others think of it an invisible school, Both are based on an accepted fact that tourism cannot only produce profits bearing no pollution along with, but help broaden knowledge and fortify healthy.

Aside from the above there exists awidespread theory, claiming that whatever is of the ability to increase in capital belongs to productive industry. In this sense, tourism should hold a position in the scope and ought to be treated as such.

It is true that there is some sense in the theory, yet another equally or even more important aspect should be granted more publicity to. Tourism, in terms of its objective purposes, has a social function which contributes to human communication. Coming from vadous social backgrounds, having motives and goals of every kind, tourists get together, draw close and exchange ideas of their own, from which a fresh state of mind will be created. So what kind of production is it? To the question we should have good reason to give a proper answer: it is a spirit production, a reproduction of relations of production. And the more frequently such exchanges are made, the more good they will do to promoting social and economic development of the mutual.

If it is the case that making money through tourism means a dent we have made, so it foretells a fortune to provide cultural service along with tourism. Therefore, to keep close eyes on the latter involves changing our minds first, that is, tourism is by no means a pure economic concept, but takes plenty of ideological activities as its content.

To sum up, unlike other economic forms, the profits from tourism economy cannot be measured completely by means of how much output value, profit, and foreign exchange it will produce. In addition to the reputation of pollution-free industry, its social and far-reaching profit should be probed more deeply.

As such the existing scenic spots ought to be kept in good maintenance, and some new ones exploited. Moreover, constructing first-class soft and hard surroundings is desired to attract tourists, the foreign and the domestic.

I＇m a 19-year-old female sophomore named Fu Ping。 I hereby earnestly invite a foreign young lady—college student preferred—to make a three C week touring trip with me。

I only expect that my travel-mate could split the expenses with me and talk with me in beautiful English， and I would be an excellent guide for her since I major in tourist guiding。
