我曾经就这个问题问过我的美国外教，他说这个词可以这么理解：there的意思就是"那儿",square在这个短语中的意思不是咱们通常意义上的“广场”，而是应该是square的另外一个很少用到的“notcool”的意思。所以：“BETHEREORBEAQUARE”的本意是“在那儿见面，要不然你就不酷、不够意思了”，引申意即“不见不散”。
