Little Red Riding Hood raised her eyes, and when she saw the sunbeams dancing here and there through the trees, and pretty flowers growing everywhere, she thought: 'Suppose I take grandmother a fresh nosegay; that would please her too. It is so early in the day that I shall still get there in good time.' So she ran from the path into the wood to look for flowers. And whenever she had picked one, she fancied that she saw a still prettier one farther on, and ran after it, and so got deeper and deeper into the wood. Meanwhile the wolf ran straight to the grandmother's house and knocked at the door. 'Who is there?' 'Little Red Riding Hood,' replied the wolf. 'She is bringing cake and wine; open the door.' 'Lift the latch,' called out the grandmother, 'I am too weak, and cannot get up.' The wolf lifted the latch, the door sprang open, and without saying a word he went straight to the grandmother's bed, and devoured her. Then he put on her clothes, dressed himself in her cap, laid himself in bed and drew the curtains. Little Red Riding Hood, however, had been running about picking flowers, and when she had gathered so many that she could carry no more, she remembered her grandmother, and set out on the way to her. She was surprised to find the cottage-door standing open, and when she went into the room, she had such a strange feeling that she said to herself: 'Oh dear! how uneasy I feel today, and at other times I like being with grandmother so much.' She called out: 'Good morning,' but received no answer; so she went to the bed and drew back the curtains. There lay her grandmother with her cap pulled far over her face, and looking very strange. 'Oh! grandmother,' she said, 'what big ears you have!' 'All the better to hear you with, my child,' was the reply. 'But, grandmother, what big eyes you have!' she said. 'All the better to see you with, my dear.' 'But, grandmother, what large hands you have!' 'All the better to hug you with.' 'Oh! but, grandmother, what a terrible big mouth you have!' 'All the better to eat you with!' And scarcely had the wolf said this, than with one bound he was out of bed and swallowed up Red Riding Hood.。

At the end of 2007, my hometown—Jiangxi Province encountered the freeze, which had been the heaviest over the past fifty years. Therefore, it was unavoidable to make our life suffer from fierce effects. For instance, not only was the electricity cut off, but also the drinking water was curdled. What was worse, the peasants' crops in the fields were nearly frozen to death, which made their efforts in vain. At this time, many warm-hearted volunteers and workers across the country gave us an instant hand. It is they who devoted all their energies to rushing to repair our electrical wirings and water pipes to ensure we could recover our normal life from the freeze as soon as possible. What was praise-worthy was that some workers sacrificed their precious lives. Since I was a little baby, my parents read simple stories for me. They bought me many cartoon books with stories. They were my bedtime stories. Among all the interesting stories, I like fairy tales most, because they are often beautiful love stories beeen prince and princes or Cinderella. They are so moved and full of love. Besides, in fairy tales, no matter how much they suffer, they will always live a happy life in the end. The happy endings bring hope and satisfaction to people, making us hopeful to our own lives.

I love reading and I have read many books. My favorite story is Cinderella.

The characters（人物） in the story are Cinderella（灰姑娘）， her stepmother, o stepsisters, a fairy godmother and a prince. The story is about a beautiful girl, who with the help of the fairy godmother, was able to go to the ball（舞会）. There, she fell in love with the prince, got married and lived happily ever after. This is my favorite story because it is interesting and it teaches us to be kind and not to be wicked like the stepmother and the o stepsisters. There are many fascinating（吸引人的） and colorful pictures too in the book.

I admire（钦佩） Cinderella very much for she is a kind and beautiful girl who had never done anything bad to anyone.

And the moon is what this celebration is all about. Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th month, it is the time when the moon is said to be at its brightest and fullest. This year the festival falls on October 1. 中秋节吃月饼就像西方人圣诞节吃百果馅饼一样，是必不可少的。

圆圆的月饼中通常包有香甜的莲子馅或是红豆馅，馅的中央还会加上一个金黄的咸鸭蛋黄来代表月亮。而月亮正是中秋节庆祝的主题。

每年农历8月15日人们一起庆祝中秋，据说这一天的月亮是一年中最亮最圆的。今年的中秋节恰好是阳历的10月1日（中国的国庆日）。
