The water banquet of LuoYangBrief IntroductionThe water banquet of Luo Yang originated in the Tang Dynasty,Which has a history over 1300 years,A twentyfour –courses water banquer in figurative sense :A queen-WuZe Tian regnant 24 years. Why we called it Water banquet is that it has two meanings,One is that every course can′t sand for its name without soup.The other is that when one course is served the previous one will be taken away.Just like moving of clouds .and flowing of water.Talking about the water banquet ,we must mention yancai, It′s the representative dish of the water banquet.There is not only a beautiful tale .but also a real story about it .It′s said that when ,WuZeTian-the first queen in China,s history-was aruler,A big special radish was discovered in a vegtable garden in the court as a blessing .The queen was very delighted when she saw it,Then she ordered to sent it to the Royal Kitche and cook it into dish .The cook drained their wits to cook it into soup,adding delicious food presented it to the queen ,she felt the taste was very special and had a flavor of “Yanwo”so she named it sub-Yancai .Being originated from LuoYang .it was called "LuoYang".But why is it also called peony Yeony? There is a real story in October 1973.When our premier ZhouEnLai accompany the Canada premier Turder to LuoYang.In order to make the two premiers happy .The cook in the process of cooking .Put a peony on the table particulasry which was made of food .Premier Zhou was very happy with is .He said humoransly :“ LuoYang peony is NO.1 in the world,even there appears a peony in the dish” .From then Luo Yang Yancai was remmed peony Yancai.
