夏天我看了课外书籍，丰富了我的大脑词汇。每天，写日记，让我的写作水平大大提高，作文也写得更好。我在写作的同时，也交了很多好朋友，他们的交流让我对其他学校有了简单的了解。

语法
英语语法基于日耳曼语源，虽然一些18世纪和19世纪的学者试图把法语和古拉丁语的语法应用于英语，但是并不成功。英语与其他所有的印欧语系语言相比，没有那么复杂的屈折变化，也失去了几乎所有阴阳性变化，基本上。
英语除了人称代词以外，已失去了性和格的分别了，词语间相对固定的顺序，也就是说英语正朝向分析语的方向发展（如猫尾可以写作cat tail，而不必写作cat's tail，这里的猫cat直接用了词根原形，而没用属格词缀cat's）。

记忆中最早接触英语这门课是从小学三年级开始的。那时我们的小学刚刚从三年级普及英语教学。和大多数孩子一样，当时的我对英语能够说是一窍不通，只记得小学的课本上有很多的图片，教师布置作业就是把图片画出来，然后写上它的英文单词。
例如：床（bed）、伞（umbrella）、鞋（shoots）、铅笔（pencil）之类，都是一些很基础的单词。那时的我对这些不感兴趣，倒是每次教师用录音机放磁带的时候，我很喜欢，也不明白为什么。就是喜欢读，喜欢模仿磁带里的发音。能够说，小学的我除了读，我什么都不会。
上了初中，英语被当做三大主课之一。恰好的我的班主任也是英语教师。无形之中，英语变得重要起来。虽说也是从abc教起，但我刚开始的英语成绩却也平平。为了改变这一状况，我在初一下学期开始努力，每一天往教师办公室跑，向她请教。
课上我也用心主动发言，为此还得到了她的表扬。也就是从这时开始，我觉得我找到了英语的“门”，觉得豁然开朗了。这也成为我学习英语过程中的一个重要转折点。
随之而来的，是成绩的一天天提高。在成绩的刺激下，渐渐地，我也喜欢上了这门课。当然，付出是有回报的，我收获了接近满分的中考英语成绩。

在学习的过程中，并不是死记硬背的单词和语法规则，而是在课堂上我们要参与。在上课的时候我们一定要听从老师的指挥积极的参与，对话，讨论发言要敢于开口，不怕出错，珍惜课堂上的每一分钟。
