一、意思不同

subsequently仅仅就是随后，后来，之后的意思。then有当时，那时，到那时，届时，然后，接着，其后，后来，那么，因此，既然如此等意思。

二、作用不同

subsequently仅作副词使用， then大多作副词用，偶尔作形容词用（当时的）。

例如：

I’ll give you a key then you’re free to come and go as you please.

Then的使用规则

一、想要一个表示“在那个时候”的副词，例如：那时我没有接电话，因为我正在度假。
