占地面积广的英文

比如某地区面积为多少平方公里，某种植园面积为多少公顷。一块面积一公顷的土地，大约与标准足球场近似。比一个标准足球场面积稍大。另外公顷还可以用ha表示,是面积单位公顷（hectare）的英文缩写。国内不推荐使用ha。我国规定的土地面积单位有三个：平方米(m2),公顷(hm2),平方公里(km2)。生活中的用处：公顷在生活中的用处,常常用于土地的面积是多少多少公顷,因为公顷是面积单位,1公顷等于1万平方米,也常常表示某个区域面积是多少公顷,这个单位比平方千米小,比亩大,1平方千米等于1百公顷,1公顷等于十五亩。”公顷是较大的面积单位,像天安门广场、故宫、鸟巢等的面积一般都用公顷作单位。比如下面的这段话:天安门广场是北京的心脏地带,是世界上最大的城市中心广场，它占地面积44公顷。

提到面积，我们的第一反应会是area这个词。但是除了知道这个词之外，我们还需要知道英语语言习惯上是如何表达面积的。下面说说面积的各种表达方法。

1) 使用单词area, space

The area of this restaurant is 3,400 square feet. 这个餐馆占地面积为3400平方英尺。

What is the area of the second triangle. 第二个三角形的面积是多少？

China is a land with an area of 9,600,000 square kilometers. 中国是一个国土面积960平方公里的国家。

The seating space of the new theatre is 2,500 square meters. 新剧院的设座面积为2500平方米。

2) 使用动词 cover

The city covered ten square miles. 这个城市面积有10平方英里。

[注}使用cover时，通常用于很大的面积。

3) in area

The garden is about 200 square metres in area. 这个花园的面积大约是200平方米。

The kitchen is 12 square metres in area. 厨房的面积是12平方米。

4) has an area of..., has a space of

The little island has an area of less than 0.5 square kilometers. 这个小岛的面积不足0.5平方公里。

The forest covers an area of 2,000 square kilometers. 这片森林覆盖面积达2000平方公里。
