Most things （that are enjoyed in and of themselves） vary from person to person. that引导定语从句修饰Most things. and 是连接词,表递进作用,of themselves是介词+反身代词的用法,of themselves自行的. 那个from person to person本意为人到人、人跟人,还未表现出相同化或者差异化的意思. Vary 是不同,变化的意思,而且vary from是固定用法,所以Vary from person to person方可理解为因人而异.所以,本句话的意思应该理解为,多数令人自得其乐的事情是因人而异的.
