I’m very glad to be here for this English speech contest.first of all,please let me introduce myself.
My name is LiHongbo,I come from Taiyuan,Shanxi province ,which with many famous historic and cultural sites.Welcome everyone to visit my beautiful hometown.
I’m a very outgoing and friendly boy who have l ots of hobbies like basketball especially to make friends with everyone.
As ereryone knows,butterfly effect is that a small butterfly shake its wings,then even lead to a terrible tornado in Pacific .
The smile is all the same,not only make you more confident,but also affect your friends,parents,and the people who around you to smile all the time.

I Agree or not agree: the next twenty years from now on, students will not use printed books any more.
I dont think so. printed books wont be abandoned in such a short time. I admit that new technology is developing fast. Many advanced electronic products are gradually take the place of traditional tools. Just like in university, teachers like to use multimedia in class for it is quite convenient and efficient. However, for our student, it is not realistic to study completely by electronic products.
There are many things need to recorded on books. Books are something meaningful and practical. I should say, in our country, printed books wouldnt be abandoned within 20 years at least for two reasons. Firstly, books are classical container of knowledge. They accompany human to advance. A student without books could be someway ridiculous. Secondly, our country havent developed so strong to make every student study by computer or other forms of electronic tools. And even after 20 years, the possibility is also very small. I also think it is unnecessary because books are cheap but useful and still meaningful.

I am Chinese. I am proud of being a Chinese with five thousand years of civilization behind. Ive learned about the four great inventions made by our forefathers. Ive learned about the Great Wall and the Yangtze River. Ive learned about Zhang Hengand Ive learned about Zheng He.Who says the Yellow River Civilization has vanished?I know that my ancestors have made miracleson this fertile land and were still making miracles. Who can ignore the fact that we have established ourselves as a great state in the world, that we have devised our own nuclear weapons, that we have successfully sent our satellites into space, and that our GNP ranks No. 7 in the world? We have experienced the plunders by other nations, and we have experienced the war. Yet, based on such ruins, there still stands our nation----China, unyielding and unconquerable!
I once came across an American tourist. She said, “China has a history of five thousand years, but the US only has a history of 200 years. Five thousand years ago, China took the lead in the world, and now it is the US that is leading.”My heart was deeply touched by these words. It is true that were still a developing nation, but it doesnt mean that we can despise ourselves. We have such a long-standing history, we have such abundant resources, we have such intelligent and diligent people, and we have enough to be proud of. We have reasons to say proudly： we are sure to take the lead in the world in the future again, for our problems are big, but our ambition is even bigger, our challenges are great, but our will is even greater.
I am Chinese. I have inherited black hair and black eyes. I have inherited the virtues of my ancestors. I have also taken over responsibility. I am sure, that wherever I go, whatever I do, I shall never forget that I am Chinese!

Good afternoon, everyone! The topic of my speech today is “Being a Good Listener”. Good listening can always show respect, promote understanding, and improve interpersonal relationship. Many people suggest that parents should listen more to their children, so they will understand them better, and find it easy to narrow the generation gap; teachers should listen more to their students, then they can meet their needs better, and place themselves in a good relationship with their students; students should listen more to their classmates, thus they will help and learn from each other, and a friendship is likely to be formed. What I want to stress is that each of us should listen more to others. Show your respect and never stop others till they finish their talk; show you are interested by a supportive silence or a knowing smile; be open-minded to different opinions even though you don’t like them. In a word, good listening can really enable us to get closer to each other. 前不久自己写的，没有重复网上题材：Nowadays, people always acquire the knowledge and information on the internet, and learning knowledge from books became a past way. Generally speaking, this convert symbolizes the progress of human development with more advantages. First of all, storing information electronically simplifies our lives. Troubles is what always terrify us most. For this reason, if we access information just by clicking the button, everything becomes easily and speedily. What’s more, the internet is more realistic. As we all know, basically everyone has a mobile phone. It is smaller and thinner than a book, but the information in it is equivalent to that of many books. So just taking a mobile phone, wherever you are, knowledge acquisition is possible to you. It’s true that using Internet-ready device all the time could influent our reading habit, and even cause us to suffer from some illness. Nevertheless, the downside of tests is exaggerated and misleading. Because, this is the wrong way people use it. If you have been reading, you will get sick, and the use of internet is the same. The way to accumulate knowledge is transforming. And I believed that it is true to follow the trend and the new way will bring more benefits to mankind in the future.
