TakingRisks（谈冒险）Nothingventured,nothinggained.Somepeopletaketheviewthatsometimesinlifewehavetotakechancesinordertomakeprogress.Iadmiresuchpeople.Itcertainlytakesgutstotakerisks.Maybeit'sbecauseofmyupbringing,butIamthetypewhousuallyplaysitsafe.Peoplelikemepreferthesaying,"Abirdinthehandisworthtwointhebush."Conservativeasitmaybe,itkeepsmeoutoftrouble.Imustconfess,however,thatleadingsuchamoderatelifemay,attimes,beboring.Admittedly,mylifeisnothalfascolorfulorexcitingasotherpeople'sbutatleastitgivesmeasenseofsecurity.不入虎穴，焉得虎子。有些人认为我们在一生之中，有时候必须冒点险以求进步。我佩服这些人。冒险的确须有勇气才行。也许是由于我的成长背景，我是属于那种稳扎稳打型的人。像我这样的人喜欢这句格言：「一鸟在手胜于两鸟在林」。也许这种说法有些保守，但是那可使我免除麻烦。但我必须承认的是，过如此平凡的生活，有时候可能很无聊。无可讳言地，我的生活不及其它人一半的多采多姿和刺激，但是至少它使我有安全感。
