文/枫樵 从前我在国内申请加拿大的教育学师范专业有许多词让我犯过难。比如实习中的“指导老师”对应了哪个词？描述工作经验时，“班主任”怎么说？“校长办公室”助理怎么表述？ 在加拿大的教师学院学习，又进入本土的小学实习后，许多问题终于迎刃而解。现在整理一些地道的教育专业词汇翻译分享给大家： [if !supportLists]1. [endif]班主任：classroom teacher 或者 homeroom teacher (homeroom teacher一般用于高年级，我是这么联想的：加拿大的高中是跑班，学生流动、老师固定，就像守在家里一样，所以叫做homeroom。而小学生是不用跑班的，一个老师教全科：英语、数学、科学、社会，以教室为办公室，所以叫classroom teacher) [if !supportLists]2. [endif]校办助理：Head Office Administrative Assistant 校长办公室可以译为head office [if !supportLists]3. [endif]成绩报告单：report card ，安省的学生成绩报告单Ontario Student Record简称OSR,当然这个出国以后可能会用到，可以提前了解一下。 [if !supportLists]4. [endif]家长会：parent-teacher conference 和国内大型的一对多家长会不同，北美的家长会比较私密，一般是在学校规定的家长会日里预约时间，比如周四早上9点到9点15 小明家长过来单独和老师聊，然后9点15 到9点30轮到小红的家长过来。 [if !supportLists]5. [endif]师范生：teacher candidate [if !supportLists]6. [endif]实习老师：student teacher [if !supportLists]7. [endif]实习老师的指导老师（俗称的“师傅”）：associate teacher，简称AT，和大学里面的助教TA (teacher assistant)刚好相反。英文有许多的acronym对于非母语者比较confusing，但是多留意、多积累就好啦。 [if !supportLists]8. [endif]幼儿园是kindergarten 大家都知道，但是JKSK这个acronym很常用，指的就是junior kindergarten 和 senior kindergarten（之前有国内朋友问过我幼儿园小班中班如何翻译，我觉得这两个词可以对应上。安省规定Junior kindergarten必须要达到4岁才可以上，而senior则是5-6岁的儿童；另外还有preschool,toddler这样的学龄前儿童一般会去daycare [if !supportLists]9. [endif]（师范生）实习：practicum也可以叫placement，但是后者比较宽泛，师范生的实习一般就叫practicum [if !supportLists]10. [endif]教育局school board：国外的教育局不是行政管理机构，而更像是一个学校的联合体。比如安省最大的多伦多地区的TDSB （toronto district school board）里面就包含很多公立学校。 [if !supportLists]11. [endif]还有一个魔性的Elementary school指的是幼儿园到8年级的学校，包括幼儿园、 primary 1-3年级、junior 4-6年级和senior 7-8年级四个阶段 [if !supportLists]12. [endif]secondary school 指的是高中，而middle school（7-8年级）或者叫junior high school才是初中;加拿大的高中high school是9到12年级，一共是4年 [if !supportLists]13. [endif]有的高中也叫college，因为可以修大学的学分
