授权书在英文中有两种形式，即LetterofAuthorization(LOA)，比较通用，招标投标书翻译时用这个。另一个是PowerofAttorney(POA)，使用比较严格，被授权人应为律师(Attorney)

授权书为 the letter of authorization 也可以直接用 authorization －－－－－－－－－－－例：1. If the chairman of the board of directors is appointed as the chief representative or representative, the letter of authorization shall be signed by no less than two members of the board of directors of the enterprise. 如董事长任首席代表或代表，其授权书必须由该企业董事会两名以上董事签署。 2. May I see your authorization for this? 我可以看看你做这件事的授权书吗?
