六级作文总体上包括解释现象型、解决问题型、说明利弊型和对比选择型四个类型：
（1）现象描述型，这是最近很多年考的次数最多的一个类型了。
（2）对比选择型，就是两种观点或者现象选一个比较好的。
（3）解释说明型，就是通过图表或者资料解释说明一种现象，解释现象型作文一般要求考生根据考试提纲引出某种现象，然后分析现象产生的原因，阐述其影响，并给出合理的建议。
（4）应用文，比如申请信。
六级作文的写作技巧有以下几个原则可以参考：
1.长短句原则 ，在文章第一段（开头）用一长一短，且先长后短。
在文章主体部分，要先用一个短句解释主要意思，然后在阐述几个要点的时候采用先短后长的句群形式，定会让主体部分妙笔生辉！文章结尾一般用一长一短就可以了。
