dom是主人的意思，Dom全称dominance，翻译过来就是支配。

与之对应的是sub，sub是奴隶，Sub全称submission，翻译过来为臣服。dom对于sub是一种掌控，完全处于sub默认的情况下，因此在字母圈内也流传这一个“在调教过程中，M才是掌握者”的说法。
