如何准备英文面试
首先，面试的主要方向。
最近几年一直有这样一个导向，面试为重，笔试为轻。但是，以前中国的教育背景导致了大家都特别重视笔试，今年渐渐发生了这样一个改变，凡是参加过今年考试的同学都有一个感觉，今年的英语试卷和其他试卷相当容易，尤其是英语容易，特别是英语的阅读就更加。在这方面，把笔试变轻了以后，必然重要的是面试，但是面试中更重的是中文面试。而英语这块，好象大家都非常担心，首先和大家说，英语这块在面试中所占的比例和权重并没有那么大，只不过因为你特别担心，所以自然而然感觉到特别重要，但实际上重要不重要？也是有点重要，关键是你怎样准备。其实有一个总则，你只要来了我就告诉你，“面试英语这方面，准备比什么都重要。”准备什么东西？主要是你的PS，这和国外的商学院是一样的，有人说没有人要求我写英文的PS，只要求我写中文的简历，对，那是中文的简历，但是如果你想在考场上面试的时候有一个漂亮的表现，丰满的英语，流利的表达，你必须要有这样一个准备。这样，在考试上你可以在任何话题中向自己准备的东西去考。等于是把他事先要考你的题烂熟于胸，这就可以了。
第二，如何准备这些问题？
你最好将你的中文简历修改到一个相当好的程度，我也看到了不少同学的中文简历，当过什么小领导，干过一些什么事。以我来看，很多同学写得非常不专业，是一个流水帐，而不是一个真正的PS，你要上的是什么？是MBA，你要强调的一定是你过去的过往经历中与管理有关系的经历，或者要体现出你有这方面的潜质的特点，我没当过领导，一直扫地来着，没关系，只要我扫地，只要我搞保洁，这栋楼，别人干一个星期，我干两天，别人一个人干一个人的活儿，我一个人就能干完，因为我懂得如何管理扫地的工作。你把这些翻译过来，最重要的是详细的、细节化的叙述你要阐述的，这就是PS英文准备的精髓。当然，需要的是语言流畅，你不需要特别的进行精心的加工，如果你有这样的机遇，遇到一个高手那更好，没有的话，你自己去准备，不要用太高尚的'词，把自己要表达的意思表达清楚即可。
绝大部分学校的英语面试都是围绕你的PS展开，你的职业背景，你的过去经历中与MBA有关系的方面等。但是清华这一点，除了你自己的简单问题以外，还有一个情景对话，考清华的同学要特别注意，怎么准备？很好办，自己给自己准备十个主题，比如接待问题、机场问题，简单的议价问题，投诉问题、客户问题等等，网上就有这些东西，下载一段话，熟读，就OK了。
另外一方面，我比较推荐大家念几本口语书，因为你们已经没有什么时间去学什么口语，妄想在三十天、二十天之内使自己的口语变得非常地道，这是不可能的，我希望大家掌控几本好书去念书。比如《走遍美国》，《疯狂城市》，在网上找到剧本，然后念。别无所求，这十几天的时间，能念多少念多少，但是有一个要求，每一个句子必须念得熟练，必须有英文的色彩。有很多同学的英文念起来像是中式英语，其实这十几天、几十天的时间，如果你真的拿一本书，或者100 句话，按照原声，按照漂亮的英文，把它念得非常熟练，会对你的口语有非常好的帮助。到现场一听，非常漂亮的、地道的英语，非常重要。
再有，实在不行的话，如果口音实在重，比如广东、福建、湖南的同学，本身中文的普通话就有相当大的问题，这时候特别大的障碍是在英文上的表达。怎么办？你有一些音发不清楚，就找一些绕口令来念。多念一念，很快就转过来了。这样不至于上场以后，脑子里有词，嘴里转不过来。
第三，特别强调一点，事前一定要模拟一至二次。 北大的，首要针对自己的PS，找另外一个兄弟或者是妹妹，当场念一遍，很多问题都可以解决。这种小组式的讨论，我个人以前的经验告诉我，非常有效。而且最重要的一点是，你就不那么被动，你都准备过了。而且一般有 20%—30%，甚至有50%—60%的问题，你现场模拟的过程中真的考到。你以为老师的水平真得那么高？没有多高，告诉你，你会失望的。第一句话也许你就听到一个错误，但是你不能说。所以，一定要做一些事前模拟，清华的同学这点非常重要，清华的面试有一个情景对话，这样要多做一些，多进行交流，你起码要找三到五个同伴一起练，因为自由抽对，然后抽签，并列双选，然后两三个地方，你一个地方碰到一个，当然不会那么背，准备了五个伙伴一个没有碰上，这是属于比较背的，碰到一个两个的话，你们两个人自然地结合到一起，然后进行对话，日常怎么练就怎么翻就完了，考官肯定会认为，这个学生太棒了。
