Now we’re facing with a choice。 Whether to rent the school dormitory or not depends on different persons。
Obviously, the school dormitory is cheaper。 And I think as a university student I can afford it。 But as each coin has two sides, the equipment isn’t very ideal。 If I live in the school dormitory, I cannot occupy the whole toilet。 That must be a terrible problem for a gift。 What’s more? I have to go to bed on time and get up on time next morning。
On the other hand, renting a flat near school may solve all these problems except for the expense。 It’ll cost me 800 RMB a month, and the price is considerably high for a no salary university student。 But it’s really attractive to live with few people and have my own space。
As mentioned above, I’ve made up my decision to live near school and rent a flat。 Though the price is high, maybe I can find another girl also finding somewhere to live。 And we can rent it together。 Thus reducing our expenses。
We have recently held a class meeting to discuss the pressure upon everyone of us Senior Three students. At the meeting everyone expressed their own opinions on how to get relieved from pressure.
Pressure comes from all around: from the heavy load of learning, from the fierce competition, from teachers, and from parents. Pressure may affect our studies if there’s too much of it. However, if taken positively, a certain amount of pressure may help push us ahead.
Whenever I find there’s too much pressure, I choose to work out or listen to some light music, which seems to be quite effective. There are many approaches to getting oneself relieved when pressure accumulates. I strongly recommend that when you feel much too stressed, you stop whatever you are doing, get out into the open, take a deep breath, and start thinking of something positive.
According to my memory, my high school life was full of happiness and fortune because of my lovely friend and teacher. They are sunshine in my high school life.
I met my best friend in senior one. She is a girl with long legs, white skin, and small face. What makes me a deep impression is her wide shoulder, wider than other girls who have the same height as her. She was kind, treating me just like I was her sister. I didn’t live in school dormitory, but she did. So, I slept with her at noon. Sometimes we argued, but we both checked our mistakes and recovered our relationship soon. When we were senior two, I moved in school dormitory, I didn’t feel comfortable in there very fast. She took care of me and made me feel warm. In my opinion, she is more than a friend, like a family.
As for my teachers, my chemistry teacher is my favorite teacher. She is a woman with sweet smile, not so tall, but she built a tall imagination in my heart. I used to chat with her result from my failure in the exam. She is a divorced woman; however, she was steel, living a happy life with her daughter. I appreciate people with a strong heart, maybe the reason is that I want to be the kind of person who is always optimistic and can’t be defeated easily. She expresses that.
I read a article about the memory. I think that it is always true that the older you get ,the less you remember. But the essay said me that it is not true.
Human beings have amazing memories. We can recall between 20,000 and 100,000 words in our own language as well as possibly thousands more in foreign language.Memory is like a musclethe more it is used, the better it gets. The more it is neglected, the worse it gets.
But many factors are influencing our memories.Firstly,it is a fact that some people were born with better memories.Secondly, different things are kept in different parts of the brain.Ideas, words and numbers are stored in the lefthand side and images, sounds and smells in the righthand side.Thirdly, unusual experiences can produce chmicals such as adrenaline in our body which can boost memory. The memory is amazing.
The seas and oceans receive the brunt of human waste, whether it is by deliberate dumping or by natural run-off from the land.
In fact over 80% of all marine pollution comes from land-based activities and many pollutants are deposited in estuaries and coastal waters.
Here the pollutants enter marine food chains, building up their concentrations until they reach toxic levels.
It often takes human casualties to alert us to pollution and such was the case in Minimata Bay in Japan when many people died as a result of a pollutant building up in food chains.
A factory was discharging waste containing methyl mercury in low concentrations into the sea and as this pollutant passed through food chains it became more concentrated in the tissues of marine organisms until it reached toxic levels.
As a consequence 649 people died from eating fish and shellfish contaminated with mercury and 3500 people suffered from mercury poisoning.
My mother is a village woman, who is already in her fifties. She had very little school education, but she knows that knowledge is of great importance to young people.
She often asks me how I get along with my studies and encourages me to study hard.My mother takes good care of me and does everything she can for me,so that I can spend more time on my study.
Once she was badly ill and had stayed in bed for several days. When I got home to see her at night,I found the light was still on and mother was sitting in bed, making new clothes for me ! I was so deeply moved that tears came to my eyes.
Such is my mother,a kind and hard-working woman. I'll respect and love her forever.
I am a senior three student. I often quarrel with my mother over whether I can watch TV after school. My mother... An Agreement I am a senior three student. I often quarrel with my mother over whether I can watch TV after school. My mother holds the view that students in senior three, shouldering heavy loads, are too busy to spare any time to watch TV. It seems to her that' once I am allowed to do that I'll not be able to control myself and forget all about my study. She also thinks that it is bad for my eyes to watch TV too often. But I really can't accept her ideas. I think it a relaxation to watch TV after a day's hard work. Watching TV can not only relax me, but broaden my horizons. Now we've at last reached an agreement that I can only watch TV at weekends, and the programs should be limited to news, programs of entertainment, sports or science.
