相传很久以前，塔公草原有一对青年男女，男的叫扎西，女的叫卓玛。扎西长得英俊剽悍，能骑善射；卓玛姑娘如花似玉，温柔善良。这对万里挑一的美男女在长年的劳作中相互关心，相互帮助，爱情早已在他们的心中生根开花。好色的部落头人一看见卓玛姑娘的身影就浑身发热，语无伦次，整日里朝思暮想要把卓玛姑娘占为已有。头人有一个女儿，都有卓玛姑娘大了，心地善良，和卓玛是朋友。这一日，头人找来最贴心的朋友商量如何占有卓玛，不巧被帐篷外的女儿听见，头人女儿大吃一惊，急匆匆跑去告诉了卓玛。卓玛姑娘一听，泪如雨下，那年月，天是头人的天，地是头人的地，娃子是头人的娃子，头人要想得到的东西谁还敢阻拦呢？万般无奈，扎西只有带上卓玛逃走。往哪里逃呢？大路是不敢走的，于是就只有选无路的崇山峻岭而去。他们翻了一山又一山，涉了一河又一河，谁也记不起走了多少天了，谁也记不起行了多少路了。这一天他们又翻过了一道山梁，突然眼前一亮，恍如进入了一片梦境，这里不仅有宽大的海子，而且四周都是林木，古树参天，杜鹃花盛开，林中鸟音不绝，海中游鱼成串。扎西同卓玛都看呆了，这难道是真的吗？扎西让卓玛使劲地打他，他感到了痛。他们相信了这世上还有这么美的地方，于是决定就在此安家。每日里扎西出去打猎，卓玛就在家用兽皮缝制衣物。虽然他们食的是野果，穿的是兽皮，但忠贞的爱情和美丽的环境让他们感到了满足，他们在这里生儿育女，过着幸福而美满的生活。他们的行踪被上山打猎的人发现，误认为他们是野人，于是下山之后便传扬开来，此后这片海子就被称为“野人海”（藏语叫“木格措”）。木格措是忠贞爱情的象征，所以，常常有不少来自各地的情侣到湖边海誓山盟，让圣洁的湖水和吉祥的雪山见证他们的爱情。

My Hometown - KangdingKangding is is the largest city and capital of Ganzi (Garzê) Tibetan Prefecture, in western Sichuan Province, China, and it has around 100,000 inhabitants.Kangding is well-known throughout China for its popular Kangding Love Song. The place is regarded by some westerners as where Tibet really begins. The central streets bustle with trading activity. It's also the traffic hub of west Sichuan and the gateway to Tibet.Some of the famous tourist attractions are:Anjue Si / 安觉寺A quietly busy collection of courtyards and Tibetan shrines over on the west bank, whose monks are tolerant of tourists wandering around. Paoma Shan / 跑马山 On the upper slopes just behind the town, the birthplace of the Kangding Love Song, hosting a couple of Buddhist temples and a horse-racing court, offering a panorama view of the town, the valley and the surrounding mountains. Minya Konka (Mt. Gongga / Gongga Shan) is visible if you are lucky.Nanwu Temple / 南无寺The most active lamasery in the area, belongs to Gelupa sect of Tibetan Buddhism with about 80 lamas in residence. Set in the west of town on the northern bank of the river, it offers good views of the valley.Erdaoqiao Hot Srping / 二道桥温泉5km north of town, a good place to relax and blow away your weariness from long journey. Reachable by taxi for Y8.Mogecuo Lake / 木格措湖Also called "Wild Man's Sea" 野人海, 26km north of the town up the Yala Valley.
