The following week, the big game was played. Boulder lost its star quarterback in the first half when he tripped over a cheerleader and sprained his big toe. The quarterback glumly watched the rest of the game from the bench. His team ended up losing, 38 to 12. The two mayors shook hands after the game, and the Arvada mayor said, “I’m really looking forward to those tomatoes.” As the Boulder team left the stadium, some unhappy fans threw ripe tomatoes at them. A week later, the mayor of Arvada received a package of beautifully sliced tomatoes. He took them straight to his pig, which gobbled them right up. That night the mayor of Boulder asked his wife if Arvada’s mayor had called. “No,” she said. “Why?” “Because I mixed a pint of hot sauce into the tomatoes and I wanted to know how his pig’s doing.”

Globalization`s dual power Globalization has found a significant place in the lives of the people.During the process of globalization, we have made a bridge where ideas and beliefs can cross the borders, and the walls of distrust and the barriers of suspicion between countries have gradually disappeared.
Though globalization is seen as a sign of a hopeful future by some, there are others who believe that it can cause a horrible disaster for the world economy.Counties benefit a lot from globalization, especially the developing countries.
With it, there is a global market for companies to trade their products which can make the production sector develop rapidly.This gives lots of options to the manufacturers as well.
Besides, competition keeps prices relatively low and it can provide a wider range of options for people, to choose from among the products of different nations.In addition, there is a sound flow of money, as a result, inflation is less likely to occur.But the disadvantages brought by globalization cannot be ignored.
Globalization is causing Europeans to lose their jobs as work is being swerved to the Asian countries.
The cost of labor in the Asian countries is low as compared to other countries which is often argued that poor countries are exploited by the richer countries where the work force is taken advantage of and low wages are implemented.
Moreover, companies are as opening their counterparts in other countries which can result in transferring the quality of their product to other countries, thereby increasing the chances of poor quality.
Simply put, globalization is an ongoing process of integration of regional economies into global network of communication which the human being cannot hold back.toward it, take good use of it and avoid disadvantages at the same time.
Thus there will be a better world where all the people can have a brighter future.

在低酬劳国家的商业服务外包，导致大量的海外就业根本没能为本国创造更好的机会（指就业），经济全球化的主要获益者（胜利者）其实是各大企业的老总们。经济全球化，跨国公司产生了，为什么东西要在别国生产？是因为本国劳动力不足么？刨除生产原料因素，现实是那些国际知名企业都把工厂设在海外，而所选的国家也不会是其他发达国家，而是选择那些廉价劳动力的国家，因为这样可以节省好多生产成本。而在他们本国呢，明明有大企业，但是因为劳力价格太贵，所以老总们都原意把工厂设在海外，雇用那里的劳力。所以在发达国家内你会看到很多这样的现象，明明本国有劳力，但还是没人雇用。就像文中说的那样，公司越做越大，但是却没给本国带来更过就业机会。某种程度上说一个企业做的过大，真的对本国社会有好处么？得到好处的还不是那些老板们！有些类似“兴，百姓苦；亡，百姓苦”
