凡参加高等学校英语应用能力考试A级或B级合格者，不允许再参加高等学校英语应用能力考试A级或
B级考试。但参加过高等学校英语应用能力考试A级或B级考试未合格者，可以再次报名参加考试。
附：成人英语三级考试报考资格
各高校在校成人本科生（专升本和高中升本科学生）。
已毕业学生在校期间未通过该考试的，毕业后一年内可以报名参加考试。
社会考生和普通高校本科生不得参加此考试。
英语三级AB卷注意事项
英语三级AB卷客观性试题用机器阅卷，要求考生从每题四个选项中选出一个最佳答案，并在答题纸（Answer Sheet）上相应部分用铅笔在字母中间划一横线。
英语三级AB卷每题只能选择一个答案，多选无效，该题按零分计。多项选择题记分只算答对的题数，答错不扣分。翻译类主观性试题按科学的评分标准评分，其答案必须写在另附的答题纸上。
整套试题共计100分，60分为及格标准。凡达到及格标准的考生均发合格证书。

全国英语等级考试是全国统一命题，分AB卷，主要是为了防止有人作弊，当然，其实AB卷的试题还是一样的，但是题目顺序不一样，比如选择题，15道题的题目一样，但是顺序不一样，这样即使有人看见旁边的人的答题纸上的答案，也不要紧。
而阅读理解AB卷的区别可以是题目顺序不一样，也可以是答题卡设计不一样，可以横着设计，也可以设计成竖着的样式。

英语三级的考试内容：
第一部分：阅读理解（PartIReadingComprehension），共15题，考试时间40分钟。
第二部分：词语用法和语法结构（PartIIVocabularyandStructure），共30题，考试时间25分钟。题目中50%为词和短语的用法，50%为语法结构。要求考生从每题四个选项中选出一个最佳答案。
考试范围包括全日制文理科本科教学大纲中词汇表及语法结构表一至三级的主要内容。
