My Viewpoint on the Rise of the Taxe on Taxis It is widely reported that the taxes on taxis are to be raised in the following month,which has been a big topic among people,especially taxi drivers.About that,different people have different ideas.Some people suppose that the taxes on taxis should have been raised long ago.They have their reasons to support their ideas.First,as more and more people crowd in the city,a taxi makes more money.Second,compared with other cities,the taxes on taxis in our city is low.and it is unreasonable.Now it is time to put the thing right.But other people hold an negetive opinion that the taxes ought not to go up.They believe that the current taxes,to some extent,is high.If they go up,they won't be able to afford.What's more,as we can see,the prices of petrol are always on the rise,which has become a great burdan on the taxis business. Today, more and more urban people have private cars. And whether a tax should be levied by the government on private cars has aroused widespread debate.There is no doubt that private cars make us travel faster and farther, but they do have caused some problems. For example, they emit too much exhaust fumes and thus pollute the air. This causes further problems. The old people especially suffer a lot from it. Private cars also contribute greatly to the increase of traffic jams and accidents. Traffic congestion has long been a problem of great concern and complaint in big cities. It has caused a lot of inconvenience to people's life and work. For example, people have to set off well in advance to get to work on time and come back very late when their work is over.So the government should levy such a tax on private cars.

Should private cars be taxed?In the last few decades, the number of private cars increased very rapidly. There are more private cars on the roads than ever. This indicates people’s living standard much higher than before. At meantime it brings a lot of problems to the society. The roads became congested everywhere and the government had to build a new roads and invest a lot to manage the traffic in order to meet the travelling needs.There is a very important element in the consequences of increasing of cars, which people often neglect, is the environmental impact. As we all know, the emissions of the cars are rich in carbon dioxide and chemicals which are very harmful to humans health as well as the environment. The environmental problem is very serious now and needs immediate attention. For one of the controls is the taxation implement. Tax is charge on the industry that causes pollution and releases carbon dioxide. Thus the cars on the road will fill into the category. There are a large percentage of the cars owned by private users. It won’t be effective if the private cars are not included in the taxable group. Maybe some people might argue for the purpose of the cars is not of business nature.Tax on the private car will bring tax revenues for the country thus increases the fund for environmental protection. Besides, tax on private car can reduce the number of cars purchased therefore control the pace of increase which cause the big problem of the travelling as well of the source of pollution. In result it encourages people to use public transport that is beneficial for saving resource and relief the pressure of the traffic.Saving the earth is a big task. We all should be part of it.在过去的几十年里，私家车的数量迅猛增长，现在私家车比任何时候都多。这表明人们生活的提高。与此同时，也给当今社会带来了很多的问题。到处道路拥挤，为了交通的需要，政府不得不修建新的道路和用投资很多来进行交通管理。车辆增加的结果里面，有一个很重要的因素往往被人忽视，那就是环境上的影响。我们都知道，汽车的废气中有大量的二氧化碳和化学物质对人体和环境都有很大的危害。当前环境的问题是很严重的我们必须立即行动。控制环境问题的手段之一就是运用税收的做法。对造成环境污染和排放二氧化碳的工业收税，从而也对汽车采用同样做法。汽车的数量中有很的比例是私家车，如果对私家车不放人纳税的范围，那么将不会是很有效的税收方法，虽然有的人会说私家车的用途不是商业性的。对私家车采用收税的做法可以使国家增加税收，从而可以以更多的资金来做环境保护。另外，私家车收税可以减少私家车的购买从而减慢私家车的增长速度。它是一个交通上的难题，也是一个污染源。这样做结果可以鼓励人们使用公共交通，这对节省能源和缓解交通压力都有良好的效果。保护地球是一个重要的使命，我们都要行动起来。
