原谅某人做的错事（一般比较严重的）用forgive,比如西方人对牧师忏悔之后，牧师会将手放在忏悔者头上说"You're forgiven."小事情上的，比如你要别人给你让个道，或者你想插话，可以用excuse在插话时pardon的用法和excuse一样如果要让别人再把刚刚说过的话重复一遍，可以说I beg your pardon.
