个人认为翻译成The Story of the Stone 比较好，因《红楼梦》本名《石头记》

THE STONE红楼梦的原名叫《石头记》翻译成英文就是 the stone另外,西游记翻译成英文就是the monkey

标准翻译：三国演义 The Romance of the Three Kingdom西游记 The Journey to the West红楼梦 The Dream of Red Mansion水浒传The Water Margin or the Outlaws of the Marsh

hehe这个问题有点困难，从开始有译本的时候就存在争议了，TheDreamoftheRedMansions（红色楼阁里的梦？）在国内比较常见，这是杨教授夫妇译本采用的名字，还有，在英国风行的一个译本，即大卫霍克斯的thestoryofthestone（石头记）以上是我所知道的现在常见的两个全译本，至于上面大家提到的TheDreamoftheRedchamber是英国的FrorenceMcHugh和LsabelMcHugh姐妹翻译的，应该不怎么常见。
