Being a volunteer teacher in Gansu Province hasn't been easy.The living conditions are poor and creature forts very limited.But Yang Lei,a fresh graduate from Beijing to volunteer in the program,thinks it is worth the effort as she feels that their work does make a difference to the children they teach,while at the same time this new experience makes herself improve.The students also like these volunteer teachers; it is hoped that their work can give the children a good start in their lives.
