暑假，我二姨带着姐姐、哥哥和妹妹来到了我家，这给我无聊的暑假生活带来了无限的乐趣。

每天上午妈妈都教我和哥哥学英语，妈妈主要是教我们对话，练习口语，在游戏中学到知识，我们的英语突飞猛进。妈妈在讲课的时候，我和哥哥都认真地听着。写作业的时候，我们就卖力地写着。写完作业后，还能吃到美味可口的水果，玩有趣的扑克游戏。

学习累了，有时候我们还玩捉迷藏的游戏，虽然我们家很小，但是我们还是玩的天翻地覆。

有一次，妹妹找，我们藏。我藏在沙发和窗帘之间的空地方。我趴在地上，头朝里，双手捂着头，还用窗帘把头盖住，屁股朝外撅着。过了好一会儿，妹妹也不来找我。我仍然那样坚持着。忽然听到了一阵大笑声。我回头一看，妹妹、姐姐、二姨、妈妈、还有哥哥他们都在看着我，笑得前仰后合。原来，我只顾把头藏起来，却忘了露在外面的屁股了。这真是顾头不顾尾啊！我站起来，脸顿时变得火辣辣的，应该像一个红透了的苹果吧！

我们有时候还搞恶作剧。有一次，哥哥发现我有好多个小气球，便和我一起装上水，把它拖到窗户的`边上，然后一撒手，我们的气球同时喷出水，还真像瀑布呢。这时，下面传来“汪汪”的狗叫声，我们一看，原来水喷到了小狗的身上，浇成了“落汤狗”了。我们便“哈哈哈”大笑起来。

这个暑假给我带来了很多乐趣，这事我终身难忘。

呆在家里做作业，不免觉得有些乏味，除了看看书或电视，陪着外公外婆打几副牌，寻开心。妈妈对我非常苛刻，时常在我耳边唠叨，定要让我复习语数英，说什么“马上毕业了，升初中还那么放松！”我只好乖乖认命，仅5天，就做完了作业的一半！惊人啊！我的暑假虽吁了口气，但还是“闭门自习”的，唉，倒霉！

游泳是我在夏日中必不可少的运动，在碧波里狠狠一个猛蹿，便会让那碧湛湛的、清凉的池水，凉便全身，浸透心田。虽说在游泳池里偶尔喝几口水，但在池里感觉还是很棒、很爽的！在炎热的夏，来几个狗爬式，几下蛙泳，有一种休闲时尚的感觉。

一个丰富多彩的暑假生活快要结束了，即将迎来二年级的学习生活。来自回想这个暑假，我感觉有很多收获，也感受到了无比的快乐……

我按照暑期计划完成了很多任务。在学习方面，我预习了二年级的数学、语文。数学中背乘法口诀可不简单，刚开始背得很费劲，好在我每天都在坚持，最后熟能生巧，在“快算二十四”的扑克游戏中还战胜了妈妈！学习之余，我读了很多书，比如：《雷锋》、《小猪唏哩呼噜》、《神奇校车》、《三毛流浪记》、《小故事大智慧》、《少年奇才故事》、《少年博览》等等，还有一本让我着迷的《经典科学游戏》书，让我在玩中增长了很多科学知识。在美术方面，我每天都抽出时间练习画画。在姥爷的指导下我学会了画猪，这可是我的一绝。我还自创了一幅“庆祝祖国六十周年”。

六年级:好好对待

The celebration of the new year is the oldest of all holidays. It was first observed in ancient Babylon about 4000 years ago. In the years around 2000 BC, the Babylonian New Year began with the first New Moon (actually the first visible cresent) after the Vernal Equinox (first day of spring). The beginning of spring is a logical time to start a new year. After all, it is the season of rebirth, of planting new crops, and of blossoming. January 1, on the other hand, has no astronomical nor agricultural significance. It is purely arbitrary. The Babylonian new year celebration lasted for eleven days. Each day had its own particular mode of celebration, but it is safe to say that modern New Year's Eve festivities pale in comparison. The Romans continued to observe the new year in late March, but their calendar was continually tampered with by various emperors so that the calendar soon became out of synchronization with the sun. In order to set the calendar right, the Roman senate, in 153 BC, declared January 1 to be the beginning of the new year. But tampering continued until Julius Caesar, in 46 BC, established what has come to be known as the Julian Calendar. It again established January 1 as the new year. But in order to synchronize the calendar with the sun, Caesar had to let the previous year drag on for 445 days. THE CHURCH'S VIEW OF NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS Although in the first centuries AD the Romans continued celebrating the new year, the early Catholic Church condemned the festivities as paganism. But as Christianity became more widespread, the early church began having its own religious observances concurrently with many of the pagan celebrations, and New Year's Day was no different.
