扑克牌英文是playing card。
playing card，纸牌；扑克牌，playing cards，打牌；扑克牌；玩扑克牌；纸牌类，1299年，意大利已有关于扑克牌的记载，人们认为威尼斯是欧洲最早出现纸牌的地方。而马可波罗正好在这一时期来到中国，因此有学者认为，扑克牌起源于中国南宋时期的“叶子戏”。
