大学英语考试试题

有听力、单选、阅读理解、选词填空、包括中译英，英译中的翻译题以及写作。

翻译题主要目的是要测试考生根据上下文准确理解文章中结构比较复杂、内容具有一定深度的英语句子，并能够用汉语进行准确表达的能力。对基础好的同学来说，这种类型的题一点也不难，但是底子差一点的同学拿到这种题可能就无从下手了。翻译的练习，是一个持久的过程，不可能一朝一夕就能冲刺成功。需要长时间的练习。

大学英语课本是为应付考试的直接有效途径，但要全面提升听、说、读、写能力，还远远不够，就要行灵活变通、寓学于乐的学习方式，全面跟英语亲密接触。听力，以教程为本，需要精听，即听到完全理解无障碍为止，听五十遍也在所不惜。

听英文歌曲、听俗语、听习惯用语都可。也可边看英文影视剧，听其中的场景对话，同时还能了解异国文化。说的方式则很多，不仅限与参加学校的英语角，即使是自言自语、高声朗诵、角色扮演等，还可多参加公众英语演讲等活动。

泛读对于提高考生的英语能力是非常重要的，要提高阅读能力就必须经常读一些文章，阅读时要注意方法，有意识地提高阅读速度，阅读材料可以是书本的经典美文，也可是英语报刊杂志，甚至英语原版名著。

一、题型结构

大学英语四级的试卷结构、测试内容、测试题型、分值比例和考试时长如下表所示：

二、题型描述

1)作文

写作部分测试学生用英语进行书面表达的能力，所占分值比例为15%，考试时间30分钟。写作测试选用考生所熟悉的题材，要求考生根据所提供的信息及提示(如：提纲、情景、图片或图表等)写出一篇短文，四级120-180词，六级150-200词。

2)听力

为了适应新的形势下社会对大学生英语听力能力需求的变化，进一步提高听力测试的效度，全国大学英语四、六级考试委员会自2016年6月考试起将对四、六级考试的听力试题作局部调整。调整的相关内容说明如下：①取消短对话 ②取消短文听写 ③新增短篇新闻(3段),其余测试内容不变。

3)阅读理解

阅读理解部分包括1篇长篇阅读和3篇仔细阅读，测试学生在不同层面上的阅读理解能力，包括理解篇章或段落的主旨大意和重要细节、综合分析、推测判断以及根据上下文推测词义等能力。该部分所占分值比例为35%，其中长篇阅读占10%，仔细阅读占25%。考试时间40分钟。

长篇阅读部分采用1篇较长篇幅的文章，总长度四级约1000词，六级约1200词。阅读速度四级约每分钟100词;六级约每分钟120词。篇章后附有10个句子，每句一题。每句所含的信息出自篇章的某一段落，要求考生找出与每句所含信息相匹配的段落。有的段落可能对应两题，有的段落可能不对应任何一题。

仔细阅读部分要求考生阅读3篇短文。2篇为多项选择题型的短文理解测试，每篇长度四级为300-350词，六级为400-450词;1篇为选词填空，篇章长度四级为200-250词，六级为250-300词。短文理解每篇后有若干个问题，要求考生根据对文章的理解，从每题的四个选项中选择最佳答案。选词填空要求考生阅读一篇删去若干词汇的短文，然后从所给的选项中选择正确的词汇填空，使短文复原。

4)翻译

翻译部分测试学生把汉语所承载的信息用英语表达出来的能力，所占分值比例为15%，考试时间30分钟。翻译题型为段落汉译英。翻译内容涉及中国的历史、文化、经济、社会发展等。四级长度为140-160个汉字，六级长度为180-200个汉字。

二、阅读理解

Newspapers, along with reporting the news, educate, entertain, and give opinions. An important way of reading a large, big-city newspaper is to put it into different sections. Can you find these separate sections: world news, national and local news, sports, business, entertainment, opinions, ads? Does your paper have other sections?

News stories give facts, not the reporters opinions. Some newspaper editorials (社论) come out with the writers name, but many newspapers only carry editorials without putting the writers names on.

You can be a better reader if you know what to expect in a newspaper. For example, you can expect headlines to leave out unnecessary words. You can expect to find the most important facts in the leading paragraph (the first paragraph) of a news story. You can expect important news items to be on the front page. You can expect less important items to be on the inside pages.

Most of all, the more you know about news of the present time, the more you will understand what is in the newspaper; important stories are generally presented one day and followed up on following days. So, an important way to read newspapers is reading one frequently.

Shyness is the cause of much unhappiness for a great many people. Shy people are anxious and self-conscious; that is, they are excessively concerned with their own appearance and actions. Worrisome thoughts are constantly occurring in their minds: what kind of impression am I making? Do they like me? Do I sound stupid? Am I wearing unattractive clothes?

It is obvious that such uncomfortable feelings must negatively affect people. A person’s conception of himself or herself is reflected in the way he or she behaves, and the way a person behaves affects other people’s reactions. In general, the way people think about themselves has a profound effect on all areas of their lives.

Shy people, having low self-esteem, are likely to be passive and easily influenced by others. They need reassurance that they are doing “the right thing.” Shy people are very sensitive to criticism; they feel it confirms their feelings of inferiority. They also find it difficult to be pleased by compliment with a statement like this one, “You’re just saying that to make me feel good. I know it’s not true.” It is clear that while self-awareness is a healthy quality, overdoing it is harmful.

Can shyness be completely eliminated, or at least reduced? Fortunately, people can overcome shyness with determined and patient efforts in building self-confidence. Since shyness goes hand in hand with a lack of self-esteem, it is important for people to accept their weaknesses as well as their strengths.

Each one of us is a unique, worthwhile individual, interested in our own personal ways. The better we understand ourselves, the easier it becomes to live up to our full potential. Let’s not allow shyness to block our chances for a rich and fulfilling life.
