other ，the other，others，the others，another五个的区别是：含义不同、用法不同、侧重点不同

一、含义不同

1、other的含义是：另外；其他；(指两个人或事物中的第二个)那个，另一个；其余的，另外的

例句：

They were just like any other young couple.他们同别的年轻夫妇没什么两样。

2、the other的含义是：他者；另一个；其他

例句：

The other kids had it in for me. 其他的孩子对我怀恨在心。

3、Others的含义是：其他人员

例句：

I relish the challenge of doing jobs that others turn down .我喜欢挑战别人拒绝做的工作。

4、the others的含义是：小岛惊魂；其他；其他人

例句：

All the others are here; he's the only one missing. 别人都来了，就短他一个。

5、another 的含义是： 又一； 再一； 另一(事物或人)；另一；不同的； 类似的

二、用法不同

1、other翻译成“其他的”不能做主语或者宾语，必须要加一个名词复数才可以。

2、the other 可以做代词或者形容词。能做主语或者宾语。

3、others 翻译成其他人（物），是代词，可以直接做主语或者宾语。

4、the others 相当于the other的复数形式，可以做能做主语或者宾语。

5、another的用法：做代词，直接做主语或者宾语；做形容词，another+一个单数名词，做主语或者宾语。

三、侧重点不同

1、other其他的，不是指剩下部分的全部， 相当于other+复数名词。

2、the other特制在一定范围内的其余所有的人或物。

3、others 所指的其他人并非其他所有的人，指其他部分的全部， 相当于other+复数名词。

4、the others 其余的，特指某一范围内的其他全部相当于the other的复数形式。

5、another 指三者或三者以上的人或物。

示例：

对我们男孩子来说另一个极度刺激的时刻是战争爆发。

词语用法：

1、another等于是an加other，因此不能说the another desk ， that another desk等，里面的another都该改作other；

2、another指“另外的任何一个”，加上原本的那个，心里应至少有三个，才有任何一个的可能，因此不适用于只有两个时，如不能说I have two brothers, one is twenty, and another is fifteen ，应用the other代替；

3、相似短语的不同意思：another and better pen指“另外好些的一枝笔”，another better pen指“另外一枝好些的笔”，

（已提过的一枝或多枝好些的笔以外的一枝）another, better pen同another and better pen同义，逗号相当于and；

词汇搭配：
