我个人认为,基本上 effect or influence on(upon) sth. 都表示"对某事产生影响",交替使用不会产生很大的歧义.如果真要细分的话,我觉得effect更注重"效果,效用" 强调产生的效果,常采用the effect of A on B 作主语的形式例句: the effect of this kind of music on the teenager can cause them to become more aggresive. 另外,药物发挥效用,法律法规生效等,都应该采用effect.而influence on someone or sth. 可以完全解释为汉语的"影响"例如:this book has a great influence on his life.
