英语作文report的书面格式是由标题、主送单位（受文对象）、正文、落款四部分组成。通知的应用极为广泛。下达指示、布置工作、传达有关事项、传达领导意见、任免干部、决定具体问题，都可以用通知。上级机关对下级机关可以用通知；平行机关之间有时也可以用通知。
通知要注意把要求和措施部分交代清楚，可以分条也可用小标题的形式，这样才能便于下级执行。会议性的通知大家都见过，一般就是目的、会议的名称、内容、参加人员、会议时间、地点等。
要注意的是要把这些写正确，通知错时间地点就是你的失职了。通知还有批转性通知、转发性通知，这类的通知就是有话则长，无话则短，也就是要简明扼要，直接陈述事宜即可。
怎么写英语通知
通知的标题一般采用公文标题的常规写法，由发文机关+主要内容+文种组成。如《中共中央办公厅、国务院办公厅关于严禁用公费变相出国(境)旅游的通知》。也可以省略发文机关，由主要内容+文种组成标题。如《关于印发〈规范国有土地租赁若干意见〉的通知》。
发布规章的通知，所发布的规章名称要在标题的主要内容部分出现，并使用书名号。批转和转发文件的公文，所转发的文件内容要在标题中出现，但不一定使用书名号。如《国务院办公厅转发教育部等部门关于进一步加快高等学校后勤社会化改革意见的通知》。
