除此之外，最常见的还是church。另外还有abbey（属修道院教堂）、ecclesia（教友会：教堂或教堂会众）、temple（圣堂）、fane（古英语，意为教堂）、ahouseofGod（教堂）。baptist是浸礼教堂，洗礼的仪式是其特有的。heAnglicanChurch则是特指英国国教（英国圣公会）的教堂。
