南华大学英语翻译

Nanhua University is located in Hengyang City, Hunan Province. It is a comprehensive university jointly established by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology,

the National Defense Science and Technology Industry Bureau, China National Nuclear Corporation,

China Nuclear Industry Construction Corporation and the Hunan Provincial People's Government. It is a national middle and western university.

The basic capacity building project supports the construction of colleges and universities, and is selected into the Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program,

the Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program, the National Environmental Protection Training Base,

the Ministry of Education's first batch of “New Engineering” research and practice projects, the National Nuclear Emergency Advocacy and Training Base,

and the National Nuclear Emergency medical rescue unit.

The school was merged and established by the Central South Institute of Technology, formerly affiliated to the Ministry of Nuclear Industry,

and the Hengyang Medical College, which was originally affiliated to Hunan Province. In October 2002,

the Sixth Institute of Nuclear Industry, formerly affiliated to the Ministry of Nuclear Industry, was merged into Nanhua University.

As of September 2018, the school has two campuses, Hongxiang and Yumu, with 18 teaching colleges, 4 affiliated affiliated hospitals,

11 collaborative affiliated hospitals, and 25 postgraduate cooperative training units; 73 undergraduate majors.

There are 3 post-doctoral research mobile workstations, 5 academic degree first-level doctoral programs, 33 academic degree secondary discipline doctoral programs,

academic degree first-level master's degree programs 24, and academic degree second-level master programs 127 masters.

There are 13 professional degree authorization categories and 11 engineering master degree programs. There are more than 50,000 students,

including nearly 30,000 full-time undergraduates, nearly 4,000 doctoral and master students,

and more than 400 international students. There are nearly 18,000 junior college students.

南华大学外国语学院英语系是在核工业总公司的亲自关心和批准下于1997年成立，1998年秋季开始招收本科生，2002年第一届英语专业本科生毕业。2003年批准为硕士学位授予点，2004年开始招收硕士研究生。同时获准受理同等学力人员申请硕士学位。在短短的六年时间中，我院英语专业就获得了学士学位和硕士学位授予权，建立起了比较完善的英语专业学科体系，专业建设速度在同类专业的学科建设中是极为少见的。本系师资力量较为雄厚，教学条件良好。现有在岗教师35人（含两名外教和两名兼课教师），教授4人，副教授1人，副译审1人，讲师14人，助教7人，其中在读博士3人，硕士16人。教师中有1人为湖南省高级职称评审委员会评委，2人为湖南省优秀教师，1人为衡阳市优秀教师，10人分别为校级优秀教师和优秀主讲教师，省芙蓉百岗明星教师1人。师资力量日渐加强，年龄结构、学历结构、学位结构、学缘结构、职称结构、专业方向分布合理。本系的本科教育培养目标是：培养语言基本功扎实、知识面较广，能在高等院校、涉外部门、中外合资或跨国公司、事业机关、军事等部门从事教学研究或实际性工作的高级专门人才。本系开设的主要课程：专业基础课：基础英语、高级英语、语音、听力、口语、阅读、写作、语法、口译、高级英语写作、翻译理论与实践、英汉语对比研究，视听说等；专业知识课：英语国家概况、英国文学、美国文学、英文诗歌选读、学术论文写作、普通语言学、语言与文化、英语文体学、英语词汇学、英语发展简史、英语修辞、语篇学入门等。相关专业知识课：旅游英语、英语测试、应用语言学、实用英语、商务英语翻译、科技英语翻译，同声传译等。
