管理能力英文：Management Skills。
管理能力，宏观领域内，管理力量的统称。主要包括管理队伍的规模、素质和结构，管理手段的科学化、现代化程度，管理教育的广度与深度，以及管理科学研究与理论水平等。
一个地区、一个部门、一个国家的管理能力，主要取决于管理队伍的素质与结构、管理研究与教育的水平，以及管理手段的现代化程度。
管理者如果要提高组织的效率，首先要有具体的效率标准作为衡量的依据。标准是用以比较将来、当前和过去行动的准则。确定标准的方法有很多种，管理者可以把组织的许多特征作为效率衡量的标准，包括量的、质的等依据。
例如人均产值，产品平均成本以及各种物品购销售价格等等。表面看来，制定效率标准并非难事，写在纸上似乎就够了。其实不然，制定一个科学的能够体现效率原则的标准并非易事。
管理者必须进行深入调查，透过眼前的、明显的事实找出能了解、反映眼前问题的充分信息，并对信息进行深入分析，才能正确估计到他负责监管的所有设备和人员的最大能量，从而制定出符合效率原则的标准。
