1、school作名词时的中文意思是“(中、小)学校；上学；上学阶段；上课(或上学)时间；研究所；系；校舍；学期；学部，学系”，作动词时的中文意思是“训练；使学会；教育；培养；约束，控制（某人）”。2、school加the的话指的就是"学校"这个地方，gototheschool去学校,但不一定去上学,只是去这样一个地方。3、school不加the,可以指"学习,读书"gotoschool,去上学。同样的使用方法还有:gotohospital去看病；gotothehospital；去医院。4、school当“学校”解释时是可数名词，常与形容词性物主代词或定冠词连用。5、school当“上学、学业”解释时是不可数名词，其前不用冠词。
