The End of The World。
宗教预言与神话中的世界末日，主要是指地球文明的终结。“非理性思维”是相信“世界末日”的根基之一。“理性思维”认为事物的发展是合乎其内在逻辑或自然法则的，而不是某种神意、伟人意志或偶然变故的组合。从这个意义上看，相信“世界末日”则是典型的“非理性思维”。
但是科学上所谓的世界末日，是指宇宙系统的崩溃或人类社会的灭亡。另有以世界末日命名的歌曲和电影等。
还有一种解释是人类将地球毁灭，世界资源一点一点被毁灭。

历史印证
公元1世纪：《马太福音》中有一段有趣的引自耶稣的话：“我老实向你说，这儿有一些站立的东西，应该没有体验到死亡的滋味，直到它们看到来自那个王国的‘圣子’。”这清晰地透露出一种信息：末日审判会发生于一生的任何时候。
《启示录》也大胆地预测一个即将到来的最后审判日的日期：“哦，我很快就会来了，我的报答就是根据他的工作把我赏给每一个人。”这些言论是2000多年来基督徒千年宗教崇拜的源泉。
末日审判渊源久远，原始宗教的萨满教（这里的萨满教不是清代萨满教），就开始产生，在北欧神话更加完善，因此出现了“诸神的黄昏”。同为原始宗教的阴阳师随时代演化成为其它宗教的“后勤保障”服务人员。
公元2012年12月21日：玛雅人曾经预言世界末日，2009年一度流行的美国大型科幻片《2012》也表明世界末日，这部影片在全世界范围内传播，也引起一部分人的恐慌，但是制片人也表明这不过是一些想象而已。
