1. 表示“遗憾”“抱歉”，是及物动词，不要按汉语意思在其后连用介词 about 或 for。如：

2. 表示很遗憾地做某事，其后要接不定式;能这样用的不定式不多，主要是 to say, to tell, to inform等，此时 句子 主语一般是第一人称，且regret通常用现在时。如：
